Cake were modifications of breads, but now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate depending on the occasion. By definition, cake is an item of soft savoury food made from a mixture of flour, fat, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients, baked and sometimes iced or decorated. Cake is art.... It is science (home) more importantly it is a skill which one can only get better at . The way cooking requires a level/degree of expertise to bring out great taste; same rule applys to baking, more reason why you get different taste from different bakers.
